This is a series of three 11 × 15 in lithograph prints made with toner transfer, hand drawn toner, gum stencils, and rubbing crayon on ball-grained aluminum plates, printed on Rives BFK paper.
The first design of the single flower uses Bartholomew’s Regional map projection (split edition of 6 and 8, with special Chine-collé editions). The second design with three flowers uses a Daisy map projection (with connected hemispheres) and William Olsson's equal-area star projection (variable edition with special Chine-collé edition). The third design of the seedling plant uses the Atlantis projection by John Bartholomew (edition of 6).
I worked on all three plates simultaneously. Here I am using sponged gum and rubbing crayon in the background to achieve interesting textures.
